Dr. Sandra Tuszynska is a passionate biologist with a special interest in fungi. Her goal is to conserve the Earth and encourage biodiversity from the ground up by collaborating with fungi.  Sandra inspires others into action through evocative science communication.

Sandra will introduce you to the wonder of the Wood Wide Web, the sophisticated ways in which the humble fungi connect the world. Fungi munch on rocks and wood, creating soils and nourishing all life forms. They serve as the communication network and the immune system across entire forests through intimate relationships with the smallest of bacteria to the largest of trees. While some feast on pollutants, others provide renewable resources from agricultural wastes - there are no limits to what these superheroes can do.

Arrive 15mins before 10am and grab a cuppa
