Regenerating rainforests and creating Gardens for Wildlife

with the Barung Landcare team

Join Barung Landcare for a guided walk along the Obi Obi Creek and through the emerging Barung Seed Forest.

Learn about local conservation efforts and revegetation techniques, and then help expand the rainforest and native garden for wildlife through a range of care activities, including planting more native plants at the site to create habitat for wildlife.

You will also learn tips and ideas about how to create your very own garden for wildlife at home (no matter how big or small your backyard is!). You can pick up a range of great resources to help you get started should you like to join the Gardens for Wildlife program.

The Barung Seed Forest is an important regeneration project which aims to return rainforest to a section of the Maleny Community Precinct as well as provide an inspiring space for people to gather and learn about the importance of nature and conserving our local environment.
